Sawan 2024: A Time for Spiritual Reflection and Celebration




 

1. Choose a Monday: The Sawan Somvar Vrat is typically observed on Mondays during the Hindu month of Shravan (Sawan), which usually falls between July and August in the Gregorian calendar.


2. Taking a Sankalp (Pledge): Before starting the fast, take a pledge or sankalp to observe the vrat with full dedication and sincerity. This is usually done in front of an idol or image of Lord Shiva.


3. Fasting Rules: The fast begins at sunrise and ends after sunset. During this time, devotees abstain from consuming food and water. Some may choose to have fruits or milk during the fast.


4. Puja and Rituals:
